Access

Build momentum.

Because applications are not enough.

Is this you?

You've done the obvious things — and heard too little back.

You’re a senior professional. You’ve refreshed the CV, set the alerts, applied to the roles that look right. And you know, instinctively, that the best roles aren’t on the job boards. What you want isn’t a better application. It’s a way in.

The Idea

The roles worth having rarely start with a job description.

Most senior careers carry more experience than the market has time to read. Applying harder doesn’t fix that. The best roles are shaped through conversations, reputation and advocacy long before a process opens and they go to people who are visible to the right audience and easy to remember. Access builds on the foundations of Clarity and adds the two things that actually change a senior search: stories that land and a system for reaching people with a reason to respond.

How it works

Foundations, then forward.

Direction + identity

We pressure-test what you really want, then map your professional identity – hard skills, soft skills and the differentiators that set you apart.

Your story

We surface the experiences that aren’t on your CV but should be – the ones that make a hiring manager pay attention.

Materials + strategy

I rebuild your CV around that story, align your LinkedIn and we build an application strategy that goes beyond clicking ‘apply’.

Storytelling that works

Interview-ready stories from your own experience, beyond the STAR technique, with the context most CVs and answers leave out.

A networking system

A repeatable method, a simple tool to prioritise relationships and live practice on your own contacts. We surface the experiences that aren’t on your CV but should be – the ones that make a hiring manager pay attention.

Going deeper

A working session on whatever your search needs most to build new habits and reinforce great behaviours.

FAQs

Common Questions.

Will you introduce me to people in your network?
Where it genuinely makes sense, yes — but that’s not the product. The product is teaching you to reach decision-makers yourself, so the access outlasts our work together. A phone number from my contacts and nothing else isn’t what this is.
You run it, I build it with you. You get a mapped network of decision-makers and advocates and an outreach strategy you can actually execute — not a script to read, a method to use. Most people find it’s the first job search they genuinely enjoyed.

Done the usual way, yes. Done this way, it reads as exactly what senior people are expected to do: have conversations. The strategy is organic and reputation-led, built so you never look like you’re job-hunting.

Access gives you the method to run your own search. Executive Counsel is for when the move is bigger than a single role — multiple narratives for multiple audiences, run with you, with daily access throughout.

“Working with John was the turning point after applying without success.”
